Selling 101 homes last year meant Ashton Ernst, 27, spent up to 70 hours a week at her job. What kept her going was the accountability systems her team has in place, she says, including their weekly 411 call. Her goal is 130 transactions this year. “That feels good to me,” she says, but it doesn’t leave much free time. What fuels her? Regular visits with her fitness trainer—and singing, a passion since she was 8. Ernst has auditioned for “American Idol” and four times for “The Voice,” most recently in 2013 (the same year she was licensed). Her musical connections have twice led to business relationships. Ernst still sings around Atlanta at charity events and award ceremonies. “Though I have now found my calling in real estate, I will always love the feeling of expressing myself on stage.”
