In 2012, Jennica Holmquist helped a couple—a garbage collector and a medical assistant—buy a $165,000 home. Three years later, they sold it for $250,000. “I love working with first-time home buyers and move-up sellers. It allows me to see how much real estate can truly impact someone’s life with the equity they build and the opportunities for wealth,” she says. To learn more about the business, Holmquist, 28, admits to being a conference junkie. She typically attends three to five a year. Holmquist has also sought leadership roles with her local and state REALTOR® associations. Currently, she serves as local RPAC chair and YPAC chair and is on the Diversity Committee at Washington REALTORS®. “We should all want to have a sense of engagement in our community, work hard, and want to strive to be better leaders,” Holmquist says.
