Kassandra Maurer spent much of her childhood following her mother, a real estate developer and interior designer, around construction sites and open houses. Her family moved often as her parents built and flipped homes.Their drive inspired her own real estate career. In 2020, as the pandemic raged, Maurer had an unforgettable year of growth; her husband, a U.S. Army staff sergeant, was deployed in Afghanistan while she gave birth to their third child, built her real estate team, and, in her spare time, hunted for toilet paper online. An art major in college, Maurer, 28, is a long-time member of her local arts council. Recent community projects included organizing a virtual garden tour and raising money to buy musical instruments and lessons for low-income students. Her marketing materials and social media posts reflect her creative talents. “Art is my therapy when I want to relax,” she says.
