Every New Year’s Eve, as the ball drops in Times Square, Kelly Henderson reflects on how far she’s come and maps out what’s next. Over seven years, she went from essentially being homeless with her family, living in others’ spare rooms, to graduating from the University of Arizona and founding her own real estate team. Henderson, 26, says her lack of secure housing growing up was the impetus for her career. Her proudest moment came 10 months after she obtained her real estate license, when she helped her mother buy a home. Henderson was the top online vote-getter during the weeklong 30 Under 30 Web Choice Award contest in March. She rallied her sphere with humorous memes and videos, receiving 3,351 votes out of nearly 34,000 cast for the 50 finalists. Learn more about her electoral success.
