Pauline Ha, 27, earned a degree in business administration and worked in the hospitality industry before obtaining her real estate license in 2009. Her biggest career challenge? English isn’t her first language. Ha grew up in Paris and later Macau (near Hong Kong) before moving to San Francisco at age 13. She mastered the arcane language of real estate by studying contracts and asking lots of questions. Now, she says, communication is a strength. So is her willingness to go above and beyond for her clients. She has even helped clients find jobs and given piano lessons to their children. For three years, Ha has been involved in Club Dust, a faith-based organization building homes for the poor in Tijuana and Tecate, Mexico.
Tip: "Serve all your clients wholeheartedly with integrity and grace."
