As one of five siblings raised by a single mom in central Texas, Roman Novian, 27, lived through many stretches without electricity or hot water when there was no money for the bills. “The hard times lit a fire in my soul and instilled the value of hard work,” Novian says. He sees networking possibilities in the most improbable of situations. He once gave his business card to a police officer who was giving him a speeding ticket. “I don’t think there’s ever a moment I’m not thinking of leads and referrals,” he says. He’s created a Facebook group that allows agents to find homes using criteria that aren’t searchable in the MLS. Advanced learning also keeps him sharp. He’s already earned an ABR, e-PRO, GRI, and SRES. In less than three years, Novian has risen to be the number four agent in the Waco MLS based on units sold.
