Tending to Her Team
Sarah Pomerleau prospects not for leads but for people. That’s to populate her growing team, which now consists of eight licensees and eight staff. Pomerleau, 28, who is a co-owner with her husband Josh, passed up law school after discovering her passion for real estate. She takes pride in the team’s low turnover, citing her instinct for seeing how a person’s strengths fit within the group. “I cannot sleep well at night unless I know that I’m doing the best I can for the talented group of individuals I’ve put together,” Pomerleau says. Besides recruiting, she leads team meetings, handles training, conducts accountability sessions, troubleshoots IT issues, and covers for staff when they’re sick. “I enjoy feeling needed. People are relying on me to keep things in order and keep everything moving.”
