When Shelby Foster gets involved in something, she throws herself into it. As a college journalism student, she helped launch a student magazine. And now, as a real estate pro, she’s active in groups ranging from the Colorado Association of REALTORS®’ political action committee to her local YPN, which, yes, she helped start. “I’m usually quick to throw myself into a million things,” says Foster, 27. The YPN group arranges networking events, training, and other activities for REALTORS® who are newer to the business. In 2020, Foster helped lead tech talks, highlighting ways to work virtually. “If you don’t have a place that’s cultivating young leaders, you will die out,” she says. In her own business, she has been reaching out to tenants. “I created a touchpoint system to market to them about the benefits of being a homeowner and achievable ways they can get there,” she says.
