As a salesperson and soon-to-be broker, Tyler Moxley is following in the footsteps of his mother, who followed in the footsteps of her mother, who followed in the footsteps of her mother. Moxley is a fourth-generation practitioner who learned to sell homes before he learned to shave. Growing up, he gave his mom, Kris, a hand around the office and passed out flyers in local neighborhoods. “The more I helped her, the more I liked it,” he says.
HEAD START: In 2005, the Bay East Association of REALTORS® named him Rookie of the Year. Last year, Moxley, working with Kris, closed 23 transaction sides worth $18 million, more than double their production from 2006. Moxley’s mantra: Treat every client as if he or she is your only client. “For them, it’s the biggest thing they’re doing at that moment,” he says. “Slowing down and giving them that comfort [is critical] because a lot of people are freaking out.”
IN TECH HE TRUSTS: From blogging to podcasts to video tours, Moxley mines technology for every possible edge in the cyber-savvy Bay Area.
