How to Move Up in the Google Rankings

November 8, 2011

More than one-third of home buyers start their home search online, and Google’s search engine is one of the main ways that they find you and your listings. Google has made changes to its search algorithm, so how can you edge higher in the Google rankings?

According to a recent article at HSH Financial News, having daily, “quality” content on your real estate Web site is the chief way to better your rankings in Google searches. This daily content might be from new blog posts about your market, fresh listings, or mortgage calculators.

As HSH Financial News illustrates in the article: “Let’s say a home buyer searches ‘Philadelphia Real Estate’ on Google. ... Given the recent changes, the agent who creates the most content and the most recent content about the Philadelphia real estate market has the best chance at appearing higher up in the Google rankings for that exact phrase.”
