Star Power Creator and Real Estate Mentor Dies at 72
January 4, 2013
Howard Jones Brinton, a real estate sales coach and the creator of the Star Power Systems, died Dec. 26 at his home in Utah following a long battle with cancer.
Brinton created Star Power in 1989 to help real estate agents glean sales tips from top producers. He’s credited with educating thousands of real estate agents through his work as a motivational speaker and sales coach and through his conferences across the country.
A memorial Facebook page has been created to honor Brinton. The page is dedicated to remembering his accomplishments in the industry and serves as a place where real estate professionals can leave messages about Brinton’s impact on their careers.
"The legacy he has left is very unique," says Dave Liniger, RE/MAX LLC co-founder and chairman, who was also a former colleague of Brinton's in the early 1970s. "He did not just teach or train or mentor people — they considered him a mentor and a dear friend.”
Brinton is survived by his wife, Barbara Brinton, and three children; five grandchildren; and four brothers.
Funeral services for Brinton will be held Jan. 4 in Sandy, Utah.
