Brokerage Turns Vets Into Agents Through New Program

May 23, 2013

A brokerage in Atlanta, Ga., is launching a program aimed at giving military veterans a new career as real estate agent. Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers launched a “Veterans to Real Estate Professionals” program, which offers vets incentives like full-paid scholarships that cover the cost of real estate school and the first six months of expenses with the brokerage.

The program is available to all branches of the military. Those who participate will also receive mentoring and coaching sessions with brokers from the agency.

“Watching many veterans return home from service to dismal job prospects in our area has been disheartening,” says Kevin Levent, president and CEO of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers. “Through the ‘Veterans to REP’ program, we seek to assist veterans during their military to civilian transition and provide them with education and training so they can become passionate and knowledgeable real estate professionals.”
