Large Gender Wage Gap in Real Estate

Real estate is among the top U.S. professions where men are paid more than women for performing the same job, according to an analysis of jobs data by Business Insider.

Among the 15 fields with the biggest gender gaps in pay, the report found, property brokerages and real estate sales agents ranked fourth.

Based on the data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, full-time female brokers and agents earned a median $680 per week last year – only about 66 percent of what their male counterparts earned.
