Dogs Find a Home with Coldwell Banker

February 12, 2015

There’s nothing like the feeling of coming home after a long day and being greeted by a furry friend. It's just that sort of joy that Coldwell Banker hopes will help differentiate the brand from other real estate brokerages via a new ad campaign called “Homes Best Friend.”

The 30-second ad—which makes its debut on February 22nd during the 87th Academy Awards—not only highlights the right to have a dog as an added benefit of home ownership, it also helps establish Coldwell Banker as a pet-friendly brokerage. Coldwell Banker will partner with to take their support for man’s best friend a step further by launching the “Homes for Dogs Project,” which seeks to find homes for 20,000 dogs in 2015.

“Our previous spots have showcased the joy of coming home, so this year it made sense to portray what’s waiting on the other side of the door,” says Sean Blankenship, chief marketing officer for Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC. “With more than 43 million U.S. households having dogs, there is no question that our pets go hand-in-hand with our love of home. The Homes for Dogs Project takes this a step further, allowing our affiliated companies to join us in helping adoptable dogs find homes.”

Coldwell Banker’s network of 87,000 independent contractor sales associates are encouraged to participate in the “Homes for Dogs Project” by volunteering and partnering with local shelters in the network, which is the largest nonprofit adoption service in North America. They'll use their social channels to draw attention to pets in their local communities that need homes, and place search widgets on their web sites.
