Young is a familiar face to the brand. He spent five years in senior executive leadership roles with Coldwell Banker, including as COO, before leaving to serve as president and CEO of ERA Franchise Systems LLC since 2009.
“Charlie Young has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, solid strategic thinking and a passion for innovation during his 12 years with Realogy,” says Alex Perriello, president and CEO of the Realogy Franchise Group, a parent company to both Coldwell Banker and ERA. “He is well prepared to return to his roots and lead Coldwell Banker into the future. The leadership succession plan we have executed speaks to the management talent we have assembled within the Realogy Franchise Group.”
Young has more than 20 years of experience in business management, field operations, marketing, and real estate. While at ERA, Young was credited for repositioning the ERA brand with several initiatives, such as becoming the first real estate franchise system to connect its entire network on the Zap technology platform.
Huskey, Coldwell Banker’s current president and CEO since January 2013, plans to return to his home state of Florida and eventually return to the real estate brokerage business.
“I am incredibly grateful to Realogy for the amazing opportunities afforded to me over these many years, none more rewarding than the privilege of leading the iconic Coldwell Banker franchise network,” Huskey says.
Susan Yannaccone has been named as the new president and CEO of ERA, replacing Young on Sept. 1 when he takes the spot at Coldwell Banker. Yannaccone currently serves as ERA’s chief operating officer.
“I am honored to be appointed to lead the ERA Real Estate brand network, and I look forward to continuing upon ERA’s unique ‘family’ culture and the value proposition we provide our affiliated brokers and agents as well as homebuyers and sellers around the world,” Yannaccone says. “Our strategic direction is clear. We are charting a course for growth with innovation as the cornerstone of our plan>”
