Taylor Morrison Home Corp. is allowing home shoppers to have more say in the design of its model homes in Arizona, California, and Texas. Consumers can vote online for design amenities like flooring, cabinetry, paint colors, and countertops. The features that nab the most votes will be built into model homes in the area.

Consumers can enter their design picks at www.mymodelhomeproject.com.

“This is a chance for home shoppers to truly influence the look and feel of the next generation of model homes that we build,” says Graham Hughes, chief consumer officer for Taylor Morrison. “Our tagline is ‘Homes Inspired by You’ and this is one of the ways we deliver on that promise. By learning about today’s home buyers’ preferences, in a variety of locations, we can bring to life the latest design options that today’s customers want.”

Taylor Morrison has sponsored “vote for your favorite” design features previously to guide outfitting their model homes. They first debuted the online campaign in 2015, where more than 30,000 people visited their site to offer design input on the model homes.

Taylor Morrison’s most latest design project will run through the remainder of the year. The model homes will be built in Dallas; Houston; Phoenix; Sacramento, Calif.; and the San Francisco Bay Area.
