This iBuyer Is Inspecting Properties for Ghosts

October 11, 2019

The real estate platform Bungalo wants to make buying a home less scary. It announced this week an added step to its home inspection process with a paranormal scan of its properties.

The firm has launched “paranormal inspection reports,” where a third party will scan properties for ghosts. Properties will be inspected for activities like unusual electrical fields, unexplained movement, and even just feelings of being watched. Buyers will have access to the findings of the reports.

In a marketing ploy timed for Halloween, every home for sale on the Bungalo platform in Charlotte, Dallas, and Tampa will have a paranormal investigation conducted in October.

“[We want to make sure] customers move in with confidence and certainty,” says Bungalo President Deb Bradley. “We inspect each home on our platform meticulously to guarantee zero unwanted surprises, and this October, this includes surprises of the supernatural kind. … Performing paranormal inspections in addition to our usual home inspections gives our buyers added peace of mind knowing that they’re making the right choices with the most important purchase of their lives.”
