Consulting Firm Helps Brokerages With Diversity Efforts

T3 Sixty, a residential real estate consulting and research firm, announced the development of a management consulting division that will help companies in the real estate industry improve their diversity efforts.
Kenya Burrell-VanWormer, who has 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, has been selected to lead the initiative at T3 Sixty. She will begin her new role on Sept. 1.
“We must treat people of all backgrounds and race groups fairly and justly,” says Stefan Swanepoel, chairman and CEO of T3 Sixty. “It is extremely important to create role models and road maps to success for anyone to follow.”
Swanepoel says the new consulting position was created due to the frustration over ongoing discrimination and the lack of opportunities that exist for people of color in the industry.
Many businesses may want to step up their efforts but be unsure of how to set up a new initiative for improving diversity. T3 Sixty established the service to facilitate and support those who want guidance on how to make a difference, says Jack Miller, T3 Sixty president.
T3 Sixty says it will be announcing a national diversity initiative in September once Burrell-VanWormer starts her position.
