Get ready for the next tech-infused big idea to emerge in real estate and a showcase for innovation. The National Association of REALTORS® announced its “Pitch Battle” competition will resume as part of the Innovation Opportunity & Investment Summit on Aug. 17 and 18 in Dallas.

Real estate professionals, technology companies, and investors nationwide are invited to share insights and unveil their cutting-edge real estate products and ideas during the two-day event.

Second Century Ventures, a strategic investment arm of the National Association of REALTORS®, has opened up applications to its third annual iOi Summit Pitch Battle. Last year’s event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Attendance at iOi is essential for any industry architect or rising entrepreneur that’s seeking to develop innovative solutions for the real estate marketplace,” says NAR CEO Bob Goldberg. “You’re not just a part of the conversation here; you also influence the discussion and help shape how commercial and residential real estate will move forward.”

The Pitch Battle is a major part of the iOi Summit. It aims to help new property technology companies emerge into the real estate space. The event will feature live, in-person product demonstrations and rapid-fire questions and critiques from judges. Pitch Battle contestants will need to show a compelling case for their new tech innovation or service and how it can help improve the real estate industry.

The winner of the Pitch Battle will be awarded $15,000 and secure a booth at the 2021 REALTORS® Conference & Expo.

Past winners to the Pitch Battle have included Curbio—which allows real estate pros to drive return on investment for sellers through presale renovation—and BoxBrownie.com, the first-year winner that offers an imaging marketing technology solution in presenting listings.
