In an effort to try to curb online harassment, YouTube announced it will hide dislike counts—the number of thumbs-down votes—on videos posted to its site, BuzzFeed News reports.

The dislike counts will become a private metric for content producers to view. The move comes after the site piloted hiding the number of dislikes earlier this year.

YouTube has faced increasing pressure after some content producers have complained they’ve been targeted by users fomenting hate speech and misinformation and that the dislike counts were affecting their well-being, BuzzFeed News reports.

“Dislike mobs” were able to dislike videos and affect the way YouTube offers video recommendations. Smaller channels were the most likely to be targeted.
