NAR Ad: Don't Sit on the 'Sidelines'
The new consumer advertising campaign encourages sellers to take advantage of the heating housing market by putting their homes up for sale.

We all get a little nervous about big decisions sometimes. Asking a girl to dance, proposing marriage, or taking the plunge into any new life event requires bravery. The tendency to stall before deciding to just go for it is only natural. But if you’re selling your home, now is not the time to hesitate.
That’s the message behind the National Association of REALTORS®’ new TV ad “Sidelines,” which encourages home sellers to take advantage of a heating housing market. The ad features several life situations that cause people to hesitate, then proclaims: “If you’ve been thinking about selling your home, don’t hesitate. … Call a REALTOR® today.”
The ad points out that there’s both a shortage of for-sale inventory and an influx of buyers flooding the market, making now an ideal time to put a home up for sale. The ad is part of a larger NAR advertising effort dubbed “Market Momentum,” which the organization says aims to “persuade and educate the public about the value of property ownership and the REALTOR® brand.” The campaign includes other media—such as billboards, print ads, and posters—that local associations can customize with their own branding.
