RealtorMag's Latest Move

April 1, 2002

This month the magazine’s Web site officially joins the family—the REALTOR.org family, that is. REALTOR.org is bringing all of NAR’s Web resources together into one easy-to-navigate site. The change means you’ll reach RealtorMag Online through a new URL: realtor.org/realtormag. But the new path takes you to the same terrific content our staff has been building over the past year and a half.

Site statistics tell us that many of you don’t know about the rich business resource we’ve created at RealtorMag Online. The site, transformed in May 2001 with the help of many practitioners, trainers, and writers, is much more than an online adjunct to the magazine. It’s a bountiful resource structured around your day-to-day business challenges.

In less than a year since the launch, the site has grown from hundreds to thousands of pages—and it keeps growing. You’ll find detailed guidance on sales and marketing; a dozen ready-to-go sales meetings; and a new Good Neighbor Tool Kit, offering guidance on getting involved in your community. (The Tool Kit is an offshoot of our annual Good Neighbor Awards, which is accepting entries for 2002 through May 1.) We’ve also posted the first of a series of brokerage management tool kits, with several more to follow this year. A Business Advice section gives you detailed, up-to-date information on purchasing and using Internet services, wireless tools, home office equipment, and more.

RealtorMag Online has received several awards from magazine industry groups—and NAR members are starting to notice, too. Christina Hoffmann, our Web producer, received this note from Sean Carpenter, of Columbus, Ohio:

“I just wanted to say what a great Web site this is. I especially like the What do you need to do today? section. I have recommended the site to my peers. No offense, but I hope they won’t take my advice, so that I can continue to gain more buyers and sellers. Keep up the great work.”

We want both the magazine and the Web site to be your partner in business success—so we’re working to create synergy between the two. This month, notice the new Current Links page at RealtorMag Online, where you’ll find easy access to all the Web resources mentioned in the issue. Please visit us at our new Web location. And let us know what more we can do, in print and online, to help you succeed.
