Get Covered for 2016: New Health Insurance Plans from NAR
NAR's Marketplace offers members a wide selection of ACA-compliant qualified health insurance plans. Find the right one for you.
October 28, 2015
Open enrollment for qualified health plans under the Affordable Care Act begins Nov. 1. So now is the time to change plans or sign up for additional coverage for 2016. Remember, the tax penalty for not having a qualified health plan in 2016 jumps to $695 per person or 2.5 percent of your yearly household income, so don’t get caught without a plan.
The National Association of REALTORS® is offering two additions to its lineup of supplemental health plans through the REALTORS® Insurance Marketplace: Members TeleHealth and Accident Deductible Protection. These add-on health plans—designed to be combined with major medical health insurance—may help lower monthly insurance costs or make it easier to see a doctor for nonemergency issues without having to use insurance or a copay.
Members TeleHealth provides NAR members with 24-hour, seven-day-a-week access to MDLIVE, a network of more than 2,300 state-licensed and board-certified physicians and therapists who can assess nonemergency medical issues through telephone, smartphone app, web chat, or e-mail.
Accident Deductible Protection is coverage to help pay for out-of-pocket medical expenses incurred through an accident. It can be used to offset the potential out-of-pocket costs often associated with high-deductible health insurance.
Both new offerings are available through RealtorsInsuranceMarketplace.com, a private online comparative shopping site designed to simplify the insurance buying process. The Marketplace also features a robust selection of insurance plans and wellness products, including major medical plans and dental insurance.
Ready to start shopping? Visit the Members Health Insurance Exchange. Housed within the Marketplace, it provides NAR members with a robust selection of ACA-compliant qualified health insurance plans. Benefit specialists are available by phone for complimentary consultative services at 877-267-3752.
