Help for Fixer-Uppers

If you've listed a property that needs some fixing up, you may want to point prospective buyers to a couple of Internet resources that are a handyperson's heaven. The Web site for the PBS program "Hometime" is http://www.hometime.com. It's loaded with info but heavy on graphics, so expect a 30- to 60-second wait for the page to download using a 28.8-speed modem. Another good site for fixer-uppers is http://www.begin.com/fixit. It's a fast download at 28.8 and is searchable by room (bath, kitchen, basement) or type of job (plumbing, electrical, carpentry).

Send Congress an E-mail

As both the election campaigns and the federal legislative seasons heat up, you may have a thing or two to tell your members of Congress. Save the stamp and send your letter by E-mail. An E-mail directory for members of Congress is available at http://www.webslingerz.com/jhoffman/congress-email.html.
