Online Finds: Expect the Unexpected
March 1, 1997
An unexpected injury or illness can dramatically affect your income stream. That's why it pays--literally--to have adequate disability insurance. But how do you know whether you have enough? Visit LIFE-Line (http://www.life-line.org), an educational site developed by the Life and Health Insurance Foundation for Education, and use the disability income needs calculator. The interactive form is short (only four questions) and will give you a general idea of your current basic disability insurance needs.
Wow Those Buyers
Buyers want all the information they can get their hands on--and fast. For mortgage rates and lenders organized by state, as well as daily mortgage news, suggest they visit Mortgage Market Information Services Inc. at http://interest.com/. The site also includes a section called "Learning About Mortgages," which first-time buyers may find helpful.
It's Hip to Be Square
Check out Entrepreneur Magazine's Small Business Square (http://www.entrepreneurmag.com) to access the on-line version of that publication (as well as Business Start-Ups Online and Entrepreneur International Online), which contains information on technology, management, marketing, and money. When we visited, we found plenty of information you could apply to your business, such as the "Entrepreneur's Complete Guide to Software." From the front page, you can access daily business news, information on small business trends, and a weekly poll.
