License Law Officials Online

The Association of Real Estate License Law Officials (ARELLO) has debuted online with its Web site at https://www.arello.org/default.cfm?. The site contains basic information about ARELLO, including its mission statement, goals, and objectives. Although the site isn't densely populated with information, one useful area (https://www.arello.org/resources/) contains links to state real estate commissions around the country.

More Than Just Numbers

If you thought the Census Bureau was good only for population counts, think again. CenStats, a fee-based subscription service at the Census Bureau's Internet site (http://censtats.census.gov/), offers access to several databases, including Census Tract Street Locator, a nationwide reference that enables you to link street addresses to census tracts. You can also access the ZIP Code Business Patterns Database, which contains data on the number of businesses and employees for specific industries within each ZIP code. Users can subscribe to CenStats for $40 for three months or $125 for one year. The Census Bureau also offers site licenses for multiple users, ranging from $750 to $2,500.
